Egyptian Tomb.
One of my favorite image. I spent a lot of time on this image, and I could go and spend several more days on it. Sometimes, one just needs to walk away from a battle. Personally, I really don’t care for the cracked and busted “lid” – The debris on the floor, where the corner of the lid is busted…. just isn’t dirty enough.
This is one of those images where I tried to tell a story in a single, still shot. You can easily tell it’s been robbed. The rope indicates that the thieves used it to pull the lid back. Notice the plank sticking out of the sarcophagus? This must have been used to help pry the sarcophagus lid back. What this would tell you is at least 2 people were involved, possible three, in this crime. It must have been hot down there, as we see a rag hanging off one of the planks. Also note, the tomb treasure map on the far right, next to the candle (which has been extinguished). Who ever robbed this tomb had some inside help.
